Modalities
EMDR: Trauma-focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reintegration (EMDR) therapy is an integrative mind-body form of processing that directly addresses stressful experiences to help reduce and eliminate stress and other symptoms associated with these experiences. EMDR has been proven to be effective to treat depression, anxiety, and symptoms of PTSD.

DBT: Skills-based Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is offered to help individuals develop coping strategies, increase emotional regulation, develop mindfulness practices and practice effective problem-solving skills.

CBT: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) offers many effective tools to help reframe, challenge, and rewrite negative thinking patterns that are affecting daily behaviors. By having a more positive cognitive experience you can improve feelings about yourself, others, and the world around you.

Child & Adolescent therapy: A portion of my caseload is reserved for working with children and adolescents. With this population I focus on building awareness of emotions and skills they can use to manage them, building self-esteem, improving interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities, and helping them process stressful events they may be experiencing, such as anxiety/depression, bullying, divorce, or other issues at school/home. DBT and CBT skills are modified to be more accessible, and EMDR is also a proven tool to help children process stressful life events in order to promote improved functioning.
